Fuel Based Industries, Inc, is an environmentally responsible company aimed at provided products that enhance our world. We are a small, family-run company based in Calgary, Canada.
C. Widmer, President of Fuel Based Industries, Inc, lives with his family in a very unique community in Canada. It is one of the first communities of its kind in the world. It has been featured in numerous newspapers, websites, as well as attracted the attention of Discovery Channel and others. The community, Drake Landing in Okotoks, Canada, is unique in that 90 percent of space heating needs for the communitys 52 single-detached homes is met by solar thermal energy, a feat unprecedented anywhere else in the world. The DLSC is also the first major implementation in North America of a technology known as seasonal solar thermal energy storage.
